# Vehicle Allocation

<b>List columns</b>: Id, Vehicle, Employee, Start Date, End Date, Status.

<b>Quick filters</b>: Active (default), Suspended.

<b>Filters</b>: Vehicle, Employee, Status, Created Date.

<b>List actions</b>: New, View, Edit, Suspend, Activate, Delete (multi).

<p><b>What date range should I use?</b></p>
<p>Set From and To dates covering the shift or contract period when the employee is responsible for the vehicle.</p>

<p><b>Can allocations overlap?</b></p>
<p>Avoid overlapping allocations for the same vehicle unless business rules allow shared use — check fleet reports for conflicts.</p>

<p><b>Does allocation affect Field Sale App?</b></p>
<p>The app uses current employee-vehicle assignment — update allocation when drivers change vans.</p>

<p><b>Can I allocate without a vehicle logbook?</b></p>
<p>Allocation links employee and vehicle — odometer tracking uses <a href="#/settings/vehicle-logbook">Vehicle Logbook</a> types separately.</p>

<p><b>What happens when allocation ends?</b></p>
<p>After To date the employee may lose Fleet tile access until a new allocation row is created.</p>
