Go to <b>Sales → Reports → Trade Receivables</b>.

Report title in ERP: <b>Trade Receivables</b>

<p><b>What it shows.</b> One row per customer with receivable details — invoice age, due age, invoice balance, closing balance, and post-dated cheque (PDC) amounts. Optionally expand to show individual invoices. Click a customer name to open the customer statement.</p>

<p><b>When to use it.</b> Use for daily collection planning, credit control, and verifying total outstanding before payment follow-up calls.</p>

<li><b>Collection team</b> — Which customers have the highest closing balance and oldest due invoices? Run daily or weekly before collection calls.</li>
<li><b>Credit controller</b> — How much is outstanding per customer including PDC cheques? Run before approving new credit sales.</li>
<li><b>Sales manager</b> — What receivables are linked to each salesperson's customers? Run with the <b>Employee</b> filter for territory review.</li>
<li><b>Finance manager</b> — What is the total trade receivables position as of a prior date? Run with <b>By Invoice</b> and a historical date for month-end reporting.</li>

<b>Employee</b>, <b>By Care of Employee</b>, <b>By Invoice</b> (allows filtering on a previous date). Sort options: Highest Closing Balance, Lowest Closing Balance, Customer Name, Customer Code.

| Closing Balance | Total receivable balance for the customer. |
| PDC | Post-dated cheque amount held against the customer. |
| Care of | Employee responsible for the customer account. |

<p><b>How do I open a customer statement?</b><br>Click the customer name on any row to open the full customer statement.</p>

<p><b>What is the difference between By Invoice and By Care of?</b><br><b>By Invoice</b> ages receivables by invoice date and allows a prior-date snapshot. <b>By Care of</b> groups customers under the responsible employee.</p>

<p><b>Can I see individual unpaid invoices?</b><br>Yes. Use <b>Show Invoices</b> on the report to expand invoice detail under each customer.</p>

<p><b>How is this different from Customer Aging?</b><br>Trade Receivables is a receivables summary with statement drill-down. <a href="#/sales/reports/customer-aging">Customer Aging</a> breaks balances into overdue day buckets.</p>
<p><b>How is this different from Customer Outstanding?</b><br>Trade Receivables is all customers summary. <a href="#/sales/reports/customer-outstanding">Customer Outstanding</a> is detail for one customer.</p>

<p><b>Are unapplied credits shown?</b><br>Customer-level balance typically nets open invoices and credits. Use Open Credit Notes for unapplied CN detail.</p>
