# Item Wise Sale Orders

Report title in ERP: <b>Item Wise Sale Orders</b>

<p><b>What it shows.</b> One row per item with total quantity ordered across sale orders, unit of measure, total amount, and average unit amount.</p>

<p><b>When to use it.</b> Use to identify high-volume ordered items, compare average prices across periods, support inventory planning, and create follow-on documents (purchase, material request, or production plan) from selected items.</p>

<p><b>How amounts are calculated.</b> Aggregates approved sale order lines within the selected date range and filters.</p>

| Quantity | Total quantity ordered. |

<p><b>Note:</b> <b>Create Production Plan</b> skips items that are not producible. If none of the selected items are producible, a warning is shown.</p>

<h2 id="faq">FAQ</h2>

<p><b>How is average unit amount calculated?</b><br>Total amount divided by total quantity for the selected filters.</p>
<p><b>Does this include delivered orders?</b><br>Use the <b>Status</b> filter (for example Delivered / Not Delivered) to control which orders are included.</p>
<p><b>Are cancelled orders included?</b><br>Use the <b>Status</b> filter. Cancelled can be selected explicitly; the default view excludes cancelled orders.</p>
<p><b>Can I see which customers ordered an item?</b><br>Apply the customer filter or use <a href="#/sales/reports/order-wise-item-order">Order Wise Item Orders</a> for line detail.</p>
<p><b>Are draft orders included?</b><br>Typically only approved (and related active) orders in the date range. Confirm status filter on the report screen.</p>
<p><b>How is this different from Order Wise Item Orders?</b><br><a href="#/sales/reports/order-wise-item-order">Order Wise Item Orders</a> shows lines per order. This report aggregates quantity by item across orders.</p>
<p><b>How do I create a Production Plan from this report?</b><br>Select the items → <b>Create Production Plan</b>. The plan opens with plan name, start date, item lines, quantities, and default BOMs filled. Complete center and end date, then save.</p>
<p><b>What BOM is used when creating a Production Plan?</b><br>The first active BOM for each item is applied automatically. Change it on the plan form if the item has more than one BOM.</p>
