# FOC Report
Lists free-of-charge (FOC) items on sale transactions. Tracks promotional or complimentary goods given to customers with employee, item, customer, and quantity detail.
Overview
Go to Sales → Reports → FOC Report.

What it shows. Each FOC line from sale bills: customer, employee in charge, item, reference price, quantity, and unit. Amounts are for reference only — FOC lines are not billed.
When to use it. Use to audit promotional giveaways, verify which employees or customers receive the most free goods, and document non-billed stock movements.

- Sales manager — Which employees or customers received the most FOC items this quarter? Run monthly to monitor promotional spend and policy compliance.
- Inventory controller — How much FOC stock left the warehouse in a period? Run after goods dispatch to validate non-billed quantities.
- Internal audit — Are FOC items documented and traceable to a bill, employee, and customer? Run during stock or sales audits.
- Marketing team — Which items are most frequently given free during promotions? Run by item filter to evaluate scheme effectiveness.

FAQ
Why does Price show a value if the item is free?
Price is a reference rate for valuation and reporting. The line is not included in the bill total.
Does FOC stock affect inventory?
Yes. FOC quantities are dispatched from stock even though they are not charged on the invoice.
Can I filter FOC by customer or promotion period?
Use the Date filter for the promotion window and Customer or Item to narrow results.
Where are FOC lines entered?
FOC quantities are recorded on sale invoice item lines marked as free of cost when creating or editing a Sale Invoice.
Does FOC affect revenue totals?
FOC lines show reference price but zero bill value. Exclude from revenue KPIs when analysing Sale Report.
Is FOC allowed on all items?
Only when Allow FOC sale is enabled in Sale Settings.
