Overview

Open from Sales → Customers — select a customer and open Customer Info. from the transaction or customer view.

Panel title in ERP: Customer Summary

What it shows. A compact snapshot of the selected customer's sales and accounts activity — outstanding balance, recent sales, open orders, open invoices, and payment terms.

Parent customers with sub-branches. When the customer is a parent with active sub-customers, the Outstanding section (in detailed or modal view) lists open invoices for the parent and all sub-branches. A Customer column identifies which account each invoice belongs to. Summary counts at the top (open invoice count, balance, FY total) still refer to the selected customer record only—not rolled up across sub-branches.

When to use it. Use before creating a new order or approving credit to quickly assess the customer's current balance and recent activity.

How amounts are calculated. Outstanding balance reflects the customer's accounts receivable ledger balance as of today. Sale totals use approved sale invoices within the current month unless a date range is selected.

FAQ

Where do I open Customer Summary?
From a sale quotation, order, or invoice, open the Customer Info. tab. Also available from the customer record view.

How is outstanding balance calculated?
It reflects the customer's receivable ledger balance including approved invoices, credit notes, and payments.

Does this include open quotations?
Quotations are not financial commitments. The summary focuses on orders, invoices, and receivable balances.

Can I export the customer summary?
No. For exportable data, use Customer Statement or Customer Outstanding reports.

Where do I open this from?
Typically from the customer profile or customer list quick summary — not a full period export report.

How is this different from Customer Wise Sale?
Summary is live stats on one customer. Customer Wise Sale Report is period-based revenue analysis.

Why do outstanding invoices include sub-branch names?
When the selected customer is a parent with sub-customers, open bills from all active sub-branches are listed in the Outstanding section with a Customer column. For a full outstanding report with credit notes and PDC, use Customer Outstanding Bills.

Why doesn’t the balance at the top match the outstanding list total?
The header Balance is the selected customer’s ledger balance only. The outstanding list may include sub-branch invoices when the parent has sub-customers; those sub-branch balances sit on separate ledger accounts.
