Panel title in ERP: Purchase Transaction Summary

What it shows. A linked document tree for the selected transaction. Each node shows the document type, number, date, amount, and status. Parent-child links trace the flow — for example, Quotation → Order → Receipt Note → Invoice → Payment Voucher.

When to use it. Use to trace the full lifecycle of a purchase from quotation through payment, verify that all linked documents exist, or quickly navigate to related records without searching manually.

How it is built. The summary reads document links stored when downstream documents are created from upstream ones (e.g., Create Order from Quotation, Create Invoice from Order). Unlinked documents appear as standalone nodes.

Payment verification — From an invoice, trace linked payment vouchers to confirm settlement status.

FAQ

Where do I find the expand icon?
On the purchase transaction view screen (quotation, order, invoice, etc.), look for the expand icon in the header or side panel area.

Why is a document missing from the summary?
Only documents explicitly linked during creation appear. Documents created independently without linking to the source will not show in the tree.

Does the summary show journal entries?
No. It shows purchase module documents and payment vouchers. Accounting journal details are available in the Journal section of the invoice view.

Can I export the transaction summary?
No. This is an on-screen linked document view. Use individual document print or export options for each linked record.

What documents appear in the tree?
Quotations, orders, work orders, receipt notes, invoices, return orders, debit notes, expenses, and payments explicitly linked to the source document.

Why does payment show but not the invoice?
Payments may link directly to an order or expense. Open the payment voucher to see which documents it settles.

Is this the same as Journal Info?
No. Transaction Summary shows linked purchase documents. Journal Info on each document shows accounting entries.
