Overview

Go to Purchase → Supplier Reports → Supplier Rate Tracking.

What it shows. Each row is a supplier rate record for an item: effective date, supplier, item code and name, unit, price, minimum quantity, and remarks.

When to use it. Review agreed supplier pricing before creating POs, audit rate changes, and compare rates across suppliers for the same item.

Note: Supplier rates may also be maintained under Purchase → Settings → Supplier Price Tracking. This report is the read-only view of that rate history.

FAQ

How do I add or update a supplier rate?
Maintain rates in Purchase → Settings → Supplier Price Tracking. This report displays the resulting history.

Which rate applies on a new purchase order?
The system uses the rate effective on the PO date for the supplier and item, subject to min qty rules on the rate record.

Why are multiple rows shown for one item?
Each row represents a rate revision with its own effective date. Older rates remain for historical reference.

What if min qty is not met on the order?
The PO may use a different price tier or require manual rate entry depending on purchase settings and validation rules.

How is this different from Pricing Rule?
Supplier rate tracking maintains negotiated rate history per supplier and item. Pricing Rule applies date-range schemes by supplier or group on new documents.

Why is my report empty?
No rate records exist for the supplier, item, or date filters selected.

Does this report change prices automatically?
No. It is read-only history. Update rates in Supplier Price Tracking; the next purchase uses the effective rate on the document date.
