FAQ

Why is profit negative on a project?
Costs (purchases, consumables, expenses, payslip cost, and any extra project rates) exceed sale value for the selected period. Check whether all revenue has been invoiced.

Does the report include draft documents?
Only approved transactions are included in cost and revenue figures.

Why is a project missing from the list?
Projects with no approved activity in the selected month or date range may show zero values or be omitted depending on filters. Widen the date range or clear the Project Supervisor filter.

What is the maximum date range?
Custom date ranges are limited to 12 months. Use Year and Month filters for standard monthly reporting.

How is Payslip Cost calculated?
From approved payslips overlapping attendance on the project. Only considered hours (hours that overlap a posted or paid payslip) are included. Unconsidered hours are not in Payslip Cost.

What are Unconsidered Hours?
Attendance hours with no overlapping posted or paid payslip. If Unconsidered Hours Cost per Hour is set on the project, those hours are costed at that rate. See Cost Settings.

Why is there no Additional Cost column?
The column appears only when at least one project in the result has Additional Cost per Hour set.

How does this differ from Project Summary?
Project Wise Profit lists all projects for a period with one row each. Project Summary is a detailed single-project report with breakdown tables and KPI widgets.

Do the same totals appear on Project Dashboard?
Yes. Financial KPI widgets on Project Dashboard use the same calculation as this report for the selected period, including labor and extra project rates.

Why do PWO columns appear on some rows only?
The PWO Number column is shown when at least one project in the result set has a PWO value entered and the field is enabled in Project Settings.
