# Project Dashboard
The Project Dashboard gives a company-wide view of project operations and, when permitted, financial performance — KPI cards, status chart, sales-vs-cost trend, and top projects by invoiced value.
Overview
Go to Project → Dashboard from the left menu.
The dashboard loads automatically when you open it. Use the date range in the header and click Apply to change the reporting period for operational KPIs, financial KPIs (when visible), and the Top Projects table.

Period filter

Important: The Sales vs Cost (Last 12 months) chart always shows the trailing twelve months and does not change when you adjust the period filter.
Operational KPIs
These widgets reflect the selected period label shown above the cards (for example, “This month” or a custom range). Several cards link to filtered lists when clicked.

Active projects for Overdue and Due This Month means status Not started, On Going, or Paused — Completed, Cancelled, and Stopped projects are excluded.
Financial KPIs
Visible only when your role can access Project Wise Profit. Totals include labor cost and extra project rates (when set) and match the grand totals on Project Wise Profit for the same period.

Charts
Projects by Status
A pie chart of project counts by status: Not started, Completed, On Going, Paused, Cancelled, and Stopped. Empty status buckets are omitted from the chart.
Sales vs Cost (Last 12 months, incl. labor)
Line chart comparing monthly Sales (invoiced value) and Cost (consumables, purchases, expenses, payslip cost, and extra project rates when set) for the last twelve months. Requires Project Wise Profit report access.
Top Projects
A table of up to eight projects ranked by invoiced value in the selected period. Columns include Invoiced, Total Cost, Labor Cost, Profit, and Margin. Click a row to open that project.

Example
A operations manager opens the dashboard on the first Monday of the month. Operational cards show eight overdue projects and six overdue tasks. They click On Going to review active jobs.
The finance lead widens the period to the financial year, checks Invoiced and Profit against last month, then uses the Top Projects table to open the highest-value job for detail.
FAQ
Why do KPI cards and the chart show different periods?
KPI cards and Top Projects use the date range you select (default this month). The Sales vs Cost chart is always the last twelve months so you can see the trend regardless of the card period.
Why do I not see financial widgets or charts?
Financial KPIs, the sales-vs-cost chart, and Top Projects require access to Project Wise Profit. Operational widgets and the status pie chart still appear if you have Project Dashboard widget permission.
Is this the same as the dashboard inside a single project?
No. Project → Dashboard is company-wide. The Dashboard tab inside one project shows that project's sale, purchase, and expense totals — see Project View Dashboard.
Do financial totals include labor cost?
Yes. Total Cost and the monthly cost line include payslip cost from attendance, plus Additional Cost and Unconsidered Hours Cost when those rates are set on the project — consistent with Project Wise Profit.
Why is Overdue Projects different from overdue tasks?
Overdue Projects looks at the project due date for active projects. Overdue Tasks looks at each task's planned end date for tasks not yet finished.
Can I see Paused, Cancelled, or Stopped on the dashboard?
Yes — they appear in the Projects by Status pie chart. Operational count cards focus on the main working statuses; use the Projects list quick-filter tabs for Paused, Stopped, and Cancelled.
How is Top Projects sorted?
By invoiced (sale invoice) value in the selected period, not by contract or project value on the project header.
