# Quality Check

<p class="doc-note"><b>Deprecated.</b> Quality Check and Quality Check Template are no longer part of the standard Production setup. They have been removed from the navigation menu and BOM form. Existing workspaces may still have legacy QC data on Production Orders, but new implementations should not rely on this feature.</p>

<p class="doc-lead">Quality Check ensures materials and finished goods meet standards before Issue For Production or Receipt From Production is approved. Inspections use questions from Quality Check Templates or stage-level questions on Production Stages.</p>

Quality Check is not a standalone list transaction — it is performed on saved Issue For Production and Receipt From Production documents (and on Production Orders via the <b>Quality Check</b> action) before approval.

<ol>
<li>Save the Issue For Production or Receipt From Production as <b>Draft</b>.</li>
<li>Click <b>Start Quality Inspection</b> on the view toolbar.</li>
<li>Answer each question from the assigned <a href="#/production/quality-check-template">Quality Check Template</a> or stage question set.</li>
<li>Pass inspection — <b>Approve</b> becomes available.</li>
<li>If inspection fails, correct quantities or reject lines before re-inspecting.</li>
</ol>

<p>List views show <b>QC Status</b> in Advanced Filters for Issue For Production and Receipt From Production.</p>

On multi-stage Production Orders, stage process quality check opens from the stage workflow (not from the main Reports menu). It uses questions configured on the <a href="#/production/production-stage">Production Stage</a> for that process.

<p><b>Why is Approve hidden on my Issue For Production?</b><br>QC may be pending. Complete <b>Start Quality Inspection</b> first.</p>

<p><b>Where do I configure questions?</b><br>Create a <a href="#/production/quality-check-template">Quality Check Template</a> and assign it to items, or add questions directly on Production Stage.</p>

<p><b>Does QC block Production Voucher?</b><br>QC applies to issue and receipt movements. Production Voucher posting follows your material issue rules; receipt QC gates finished goods entering net stock.</p>
<p><b>When is QC mandatory?</b><br>When template linked on BOM or stage — boolean, number, and range answer types.</p>
<p><b>Blocks production approve?</b><br>QC in progress hides approve on issue, voucher, and receipt.</p>
