# Production Dashboard

<p class="doc-lead">The Production Dashboard gives at-a-glance counts of open and due Production Orders, producible items, and charts for item-wise production output and overhead charge distribution.</p>

<h2 id="overview">Overview</h2>

Go to <b>Production → Production Dashboard</b> (default landing page for the Production module).

<p>The dashboard loads summary statistics and charts. Clicking a stat box opens the filtered Production Order list or item list behind that metric.</p>

<h2 id="widgets">Widgets</h2>

| Open Production Orders | Count of production orders currently open / in progress. | Opens Production Order list filtered to working orders. |
| Due Production Orders | Count of orders at or past due date. | Opens Production Order list filtered to due orders. |
| Producible Items | Count of items configured for production (producible item type with BOM). | Opens filtered item master list. |

| Overhead Charges | Pie chart of overhead charges split by expense account. |
| Manufacturing Cost Variance | Trend of production cost variance against limits. |
| Manufacturing Quantity Variance | Trend of output quantity variance against limits. |

<p>Variance charts may be hidden in some workspaces until your role includes access to those dashboard charts. They use the same variance limits configured in <a href="#/production/production-settings-config">Production Settings</a> and BOM overrides.</p>

<h2 id="faq">FAQ</h2>

<p><b>Why is a widget empty?</b><br>Your user role may not include that dashboard widget, or no production data exists for the default date range.</p>

<p><b>How do I get detailed numbers behind a chart?</b><br>Use <a href="#/production/reports/item-wise-production">Item Wise Production</a> or <a href="#/production/reports/overhead-charge-wise-report">Overhead Charge Wise Report</a> for full tabular detail with export.</p>

<p><b>Can I customize which widgets appear?</b><br>Widget visibility is controlled by your user role in admin settings.</p>
<p><b>Pending vs open orders?</b><br>Dashboard shows pipeline; use <a href="#/production/reports/pending-production-order-report">Pending Production Order</a> for detail.</p>
<p><b>Due orders widget?</b><br>Based on order due dates and production plan lines.</p>
