What it shows. Each valued stock line for the selected item — quantity, average value per unit and total value — split by center, batch, warehouse bin, variant and whether it is work-in-progress. Totals for quantity and value appear at the bottom. Click an item to open its transactions, or a batch to open the batch enquiry.
When to use it. Use to understand how an item's stock value is built up across its layers, and to investigate average costing per center or batch.
What does Show Pending values do?
It limits the table to stock lines that are still waiting for a value to be assigned, which is useful when investigating un-costed receipts.
Why does one item have several rows?
Stock is valued in layers by center, batch, bin, variant and WIP, so an item can appear once for each distinct combination.
How is Total Value calculated?
Total Value is the layer's quantity multiplied by its average value.
How do I see the movements behind a layer?
Click the item name to open Item Transactions, or the batch to open the batch enquiry.
Why is my report empty?
All stock layers may already have assigned values, or filters exclude items with pending costing.
When should I use Show Pending values?
When investigating receipts or adjustments that posted quantity before unit cost was finalized.
Does this change inventory value?
No. This is a read-only analysis report. Post value corrections through Inventory Revaluation or related documents.
