# Item wise Inventory Adjustment

<p class="doc-lead">Net stock adjusted up or down for each item over a selected period. Summarises inventory adjustment increases (In) and decreases (Out) by item, with optional value.</p>

<h2 id="overview">Overview</h2>

Go to <b>Inventory → Inventory Reports → Item wise Inventory Adjustment</b>.

Report title in ERP: <b>Item Wise Adjustment</b>

<p><b>What it shows.</b> One row per item with the net quantity increased (<b>In</b>) and net quantity decreased (<b>Out</b>) through inventory adjustments in the selected period, plus totals. Turn on <b>Show Value</b> to add the value of the adjustments. Click a row to open the item's transactions for the same period.</p>

<p><b>When to use it.</b> Use to review write-offs, gains and corrections, to check adjustments by reason or employee, and to quantify shrinkage for a period.</p>

<b>Date</b> range, <b>Center</b>, <b>Inventory Adjustment Reason</b> and <b>Employee</b>. <b>Advanced Filter</b>: Item, Item Type, Center, Branch, Variant, Brand, Item Group.

<h2 id="faq">FAQ</h2>

<p><b>What counts as In and Out here?</b><br>In is the net quantity added by adjustments and Out is the net quantity removed by adjustments, for each item in the period.</p>

<p><b>Can I see adjustments for a specific reason?</b><br>Yes. Set the <b>Inventory Adjustment Reason</b> filter before generating.</p>

<p><b>How do I see value, not just quantity?</b><br>Select <b>Show Value</b> to add value columns and totals.</p>

<p><b>How do I open the adjustment documents?</b><br>Click an item row to open <a href="#/inventory/reports/item-transactions">Item Transactions</a>, then open the adjustment voucher from there.</p>

<p><b>Why is my report empty?</b><br>No net adjustment quantity for any item in the period, or reason filter excludes all rows.</p>

<p><b>Are gains and losses netted per item?</b><br>Yes. In and Out columns show net adjustment quantities by item for the selected period.</p>

<p><b>How is this different from Inventory Adjustment Item Wise?</b><br>That report lists every adjustment line; this report summarizes net in/out per item.</p>
