# Bin wise Report

<h2 id="overview">Overview</h2>

Go to <b>Inventory → Inventory Reports → Bin wise Report</b>.

Report title in ERP: <b>Bin Wise Inventory Report</b>

<p><b>What it shows.</b> One row per warehouse bin (Inventory Bin) with the <b>Opening</b>, <b>In</b>, <b>Out</b> and <b>Closing</b> quantity for the selected date range. Turn on <b>Show Items</b> to expand each bin into its items, and <b>Show Value</b> to add value columns under each stage.</p>

<p><b>When to use it.</b> Use in warehouses that track stock by bin, to verify bin contents, and to follow movement in and out of a bin during a period.</p>

<li><b>Warehouse supervisor</b> — How much stock sits in each bin and what moved during the period? Review In, Out and Closing per bin.</li>
<li><b>Store keeper</b> — Which items are stored in a particular bin? Turn on <b>Show Items</b> to expand.</li>
<li><b>Inventory controller</b> — What is the valued balance held in each bin? Turn on <b>Show Value</b>.</li>
<li><b>Auditor</b> — Do physical bin contents match the system? Use this report during bin-level stock checks.</li>

<b>Date</b> range and <b>Item Group</b>. <b>Advanced Filter</b>: Item, Item Type, Center, Brand, Item Group.

| Item | Item name (shown when <b>Show Items</b> is on). |
| Opening | Quantity (and value) at the start of the period. |
| In | Quantity (and value) received during the period. |
| Out | Quantity (and value) issued during the period. |
| Closing | Quantity (and value) at the end of the period. |

<i>When <b>Show Value</b> is on, the Opening, In, Out and Closing stages each show a Qty and Value sub-column.</i>

<h2 id="faq">FAQ</h2>

<p><b>What is an Inventory Bin?</b><br>A bin is a precise storage location within a warehouse (such as an aisle, rack, shelf or bin). Bins are set up under <a href="#/inventory/warehouse-bins">Aisle, Rack, Shelves, Bins</a>.</p>

<p><b>How do I see the items inside a bin?</b><br>Choose <b>Show Items</b> from the <b>More</b> menu to expand each bin.</p>

<p><b>How do I add value columns?</b><br>Select <b>Show Value</b> from the <b>More</b> menu.</p>

<p><b>I don't store stock by bin — is this report useful?</b><br>This report only has data when items are stored against bins. If you don't use bins, use the <a href="#/inventory/reports/center-wise-report">Centre wise Report</a> instead.</p>

<p><b>Why is my report empty?</b><br>Bin tracking may be disabled, or no stock is recorded against bins at the filtered center.</p>

<p><b>Why does a bin not appear in filters?</b><br>Bin lists may include only bins that currently hold stock for the selected item and center.</p>

<p><b>Where are bins configured?</b><br>Under <a href="#/inventory/warehouse-bins">Aisle, Rack, Shelves &amp; Bins</a> and item line fields in <a href="#/inventory/inventory-settings">Inventory Settings</a>.</p>
