# Batch Wise Expiry

Stock by batch with age and days-to-expire, sortable by expiry or manufacture date. Use it to spot batches nearing expiry and act on them before they lapse.

Overview

Go to Inventory → Inventory Reports → Batch Wise Expiry. Report title in ERP: Batch wise expiry

What it shows. One row per batch in stock, showing the batch, item, item code, center, quantity, unit of measure, manufacture and expiry dates, the age of the batch, and how many days remain until it expires. The list can be sorted by expiry or manufacture date.

When to use it. Use it to manage shelf life — to find batches about to expire, plan clearance or first-expiry-first-out picking, and avoid write-offs.

Use Cases

Store keeper — Which batches expire soonest? Sort by Expiry Date (Earliest First) and act on the top rows.
Sales / clearance team — What stock should be sold first to avoid expiry? Use the Days to Expire column.
Quality team — Which batches are oldest by manufacture date? Sort by Manufacture Date (Oldest First).
Branch in-charge — Which expiring batches are at my center? Filter by Center.

Filters

Item, Center, and a sort selector with options Expiry Date (Earliest First), Expiry Date (Latest First), Manufacture Date (Oldest First), Manufacture Date (Newest First).

FAQ

How do I see batches expiring soonest?
Set the sort selector to Expiry Date (Earliest First).

What does the Days to Expire column show?
The number of days left until the batch reaches its expiry date. A negative or zero value means the batch has already expired.

What is Age?
How long the batch has been in stock since its manufacture date.

How is this different from Batch Wise Stock?
Batch Wise Stock shows quantity on hand as on a date. This report adds age, days to expire, and expiry/manufacture sorting for shelf-life management.

Why is my report empty?
No batches match the filters, or selected items have no batch stock on the as-of date.

How do I find expired batches?
Sort by expiry date and review rows where Days to Expire is zero or negative.
