What it shows. An enquiry panel for one selected item and batch. It shows the batch details and current stock, the most recent inward and outward transactions for the batch, and an inventory summary of the quantity held per center (with work-in-progress split for production companies). It is shown for a single item–batch combination, not as a list.
When to use it. Use it to investigate one batch — to confirm where its stock sits, trace where it came from and went, and check manufacture and expiry dates.
Why do I get a warning when I click Generate?
Both Item and Batch are required. Select an item first, then its batch.
What do the Net, WIP and Total columns mean?
Total is the full quantity of the batch at a center, WIP is the part tied up in production, and Net is the remaining stock. WIP columns appear only for production companies.
Why are only recent transactions shown?
The panel lists the most recent inward and outward movements for quick tracing. For the full history, open the item's Item Transactions.
What is Avg Unit Value?
The average value per unit of the batch in stock. It is shown to users with access to inventory value information.
Why is my batch missing from the dropdown?
Batch lists may show only batches that currently have stock for the selected item and center.
How is this different from Batch History?
Batch Enquiry is a snapshot with recent movements. Batch History lists the full transaction trail for one batch.
Which statuses appear in recent transactions?
Approved and closed inventory movements that affected the batch quantity.
